I live in Bend, Oregon with my wife Brooke and our dog Scout.
By day, I'm a product (software) designer working on Trello at Atlassian.
When I'm not doing design, you can find me scheming up new ideas, taking photos, ripping through forest roads and trails on my motorcycle, or my mountain bike.
I can also be found near water from May—October, and skiing/snowboarding from November—March.

The world his now plagued with convenience, fixated on efficiency, and encourages unnecessary competition. Things have become too easy to make and systems have enabled companies to deliver garbage products to our doorsteps and to our screens—the vast majority at the expense of our planet and our physical and mental health.
I try to live intentionally and only support people that craft high-quality, long-lasting, and sustainable products. There's universal satisfaction in creating or using a product that's designed well, won't need to be replaced in a year, and won't poison you or destroy the planet. It's getting harder and harder to find this as companies continually go faster, attempt to maximize profits through lower quality resources and materials, and fail to design something well in the first place.
These ideals also drive my work and and how I approach design.

I'm always looking for other people and companies to connect with that align with my values.
