Welcome to my Now page. It's what I'm currently up to.
Currently working on this site. A lot of stuff is still a work in progress and maybe even broken, so I'll be spending some time slowly tweaking and finessing things. I spent a few years killing redesign after redesign for various reasons so I'm just happy that I was able to get something published 😀
Skills / Knowledge
Snowboarding
I spent the last few years learning and getting better at skiing. This year I'm focusing mainly on snowboarding. It's my first year buying a season pass so hoping to spend quite a bit of time on the snow. I picked up some Burton Ruler Boa boots. The plan this season is to rent/try a bunch of boards before committing to and investing in my own setup. I'm not sure what kind of rider I'll be yet.

Web development
I just started a few JS and CSS courses for a refresher on some more advanced concepts. I've got a couple of ideas cooking and I'd eventually like to move this site off of Framer and go full custom again like the good ole days.
Guitar
I grew up playing guitar and happened to be in quite a few bands. I honestly can't even remember the last time I touched a guitar. So, to remedy this and give myself more opportunities to cut back on screentime, I bought an acoustic from Taylor. I'm sure I'll pick it up again quickly but I'm excited to rediscover a talent after so many years and learn some new stuff.
Work
We're about to find ourselves in the midst of 'circle back next year' season so everyone is trying to jam in all the projects and requests they can.
Outside of the normal day-to-day projects, I'm focused on a quality initiative right now with the Trello design team. Hopefully I'll have more to share on this soon.
Reading

Currently
In The Optimist, David Coggins makes a case for the skills and sensibility of an enduring sport and shares the secrets, frustrations, and triumphs of the great tradition of fly fishing, which has captivated anglers worldwide.

Up next
I picked up the box set a few weeks ago because I love the show. But more importantly, winter is starting to set in and the evenings are long and dark⸺the perfect time of year to find myself lost in some sci-fi.
Listening
Historically I've usually thrown on my Discover Weekly but I'm moving off of Spotify—as are many others.
I don't typically concentrate well with 'normal' music and often just throw on a playlist from musicforprogramming(); which also has a design aesthetic which cannot be argued with or critiqued in any way.
